Store Coupon Policies - Meijer Policies

All right, I just have to start this series with Meijer since this is where I do most of my grocery shopping now.

I will admit that I didn't like to shop at Meijer before I started couponing.  I always thought they were kind of pricey, so when I had a lot of items to buy I would go to our Walmart Supercenter.  Since my coupon journey started, I shop mostly at Meijer.  They are super friendly to couponers and their coupon policies help you to get some great deals.

Here is a list of Meijer's coupon policies.  For their full coupon policy, click here.
  • Manufacturer coupons up to $.50 off will double.  (This policy is true for the South Bend, Elkhart, Goshen, Indiana area.  Check with your local store for their double coupon policy.)
  • Only 2 "like" coupons will double per transaction.
    • Example:  Peanut Butter - $1.00
    • Manufacturer Coupon - $.50/1
    • You can use 2 of these coupons per transaction making them FREE.  If you were to purchase 3 in one transaction and use 3 coupons, you would end up spending $.50.
  • Meijer allows you to "stack" coupons.  You can use a Manufacturer coupon AND a Meijer store coupon together on the same item.  Great way to maximize your savings.
  • Meijer offers "Custom Coupons".  An example would be when they have a deal like "Buy 2 of a certain item, get $____ off your next order".  A coupon for money off your next order will print off when you check out.  A current list of their "custom coupons" is on their Meijer Mealbox website.
  • When you can combine all three things here, you can save lots of money and sometimes even make money!  :) (my favorite)
Please let me know any questions you have about Meijer.
