Upcycling items and do it yourself  (DIY) projects are another way to stay on budget and have the things you want.  Creating something to meet your needs is a good use of creative energy, lets you customize something exactly the way you want it and leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment. Every Wednesday I will feature a post called Who Knew?! Wednesday. These posts are meant to inform you of innovative ways to upcycle common things into something extraordinary. Solving a problem and saving money at the same time!!

As I’ve collected more and more long necklaces, earrings and bracelets the need for a better jewelry organization system has been on my mind. Here are a couple ideas that I’ve found around the blogs that are super cute and easy:

** Turn an old grater into a handy earring organizer! This is such an easy project–just paint it and add earrings (feet optional). Thank you, Outstanding Stands.

**A towel bar and shower hooks become a cute, organized necklace holder! So genius…thanks, A Full Measure of Happiness.

**Add hooks to wooden cutlery trays and nail them to the wall. Try one tray or as many as you need. In addition to organizing your jewelry, they double as wall art Thanks, Maillardville Manor.

**Repurpose old frames into beautiful wall decor that solves an organizational roblem. Just attach small hooks for necklaces and bracelets or thin wire for earrings. Love it! Thank you, Le Alegria!
