Walgreens…New Balance Rewards Program (effective September 16, 2012)

Have you heard about this?  Walgreens has begun a new rewards program, called Balance Rewards.

Register Rewards (RR’s) are no more!  This is effective today, September 16, 2012.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.  Not too thrilled about having to learn a new savings program, but I don’t have any control over that.  :/  Anyways, here are the details you need to know…

• You can sign up for a Balance Rewards card in store, online, by mobile app or calling customer service at 1-855-225-0400.
• You must have a Balance Reward card to receive the sales prices.
• You will no longer receive Register Rewards (RR’s) however, Walgreens will still participate in Catalina Offers.
• You will earn a point value for each purchase and those points can be redeemed on future purchases.
• You can redeem your points in store or online at any time or allow them to accumulate for a while. (see rewards per points earned)
• Points expire 36 months from the day you earn them or sooner if your account is not active for 6 months.

• Also earn points for prescriptions, immunizations and Walk with Walgreens.
• Exclusive AARP Member Benefits
• You can link up to 4 Balance Rewards accounts by calling customer service at 1-855-225-0400
